I am so damn happy. I want to shout from the rooftops, I want to dance in the street, I want to revel with strangers in a loud bar... cheering, and laughing and clinking our glasses so hard they slosh over. I want to celebrate, honor, and make merry on this landmark day and memorialize this auspicious moment in history.

I'm pretty sure there's no turning back now. And no matter what happens... today happened. Today HAPPENED.

It is 11:45 AM and I just opened a bottle of champagne. It's the cheap stuff I keep in the back of the fridge for impromptu Sunday mimosas... but today of all days, I felt compelled to lift a glass to LOVE, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. This will be the moment that comes to mind when I tell young people... I was there, I remember that day.
